On 8 August 2021, USS Gerald R. Ford completed a Full Ship Shock Trial in the Atlantic. The official U.S. Navy record shows three controlled explosive events beside the carrier.
The violent-looking water column is authentic test evidence, but it records controlled qualification—not an attack, combat damage, or an accident.

A real impulsive load passed through the complete ship so survivability could be assessed at system scale.
